It is hard to find words to describe its simplicity, but it will blow your mind away: simply by stretching Flexible Love is transformed from an individual chair to a seat for up to 16 people!! As easily as opening a drawer, the result is a spectacular, resistant and eye-catching seat appearing out of a small chair. Even better, it can be shaped at your whim, creating endless different curved shapes that adapt to different spaces and needs: a business meeting of ten people, a game of cards with four friends, a seated dinner for eight...
The FlexibleLove ideal for any indoor venue that needs instant seating - theatres, dances, clubs its uses are endless.
The FlexibleLove was invented by Chise Chiu is a young designer established in Miao Li, Taiwan. His abilities as a designer were built in a unique urban setting of small family-owned factories that produce cardboard or electronic parts.
A bit by chance, but mainly through experimenting with materials, Chise Chiu came up with the idea of using a honeycomb structure to produce something with unique qualities.
Chishe Chiu found a factory that produced honeycomb-structured sheets of recycled paper in suburban Taipei. He investigated the product, which was then used to build rigid cardboard platforms that replaced wooden ones, and came to the conclusion that there were highly interesting potential uses for the material. The unique qualities of the honeycomb structure cardboard material could allow for the creation of a seat that seats one, or if need be, 15 more friends!
After some planning, the FlexibleLove idea became a reality. The incredible chair that (lets admit it) we are all in love with, was born!
